Actalent Mechanical Design Engineer in Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Mechanical Design EngineerJob Description

Seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team and participate in cross-functional teams focused on quoting, developing, and manufacturing watercraft lifts and accessories. The role involves ownership of both custom and standard product designs, creation of efficient and flexible 3D parametric models, and maintenance of detailed drawings per ASME Y14.5 standard. The successful candidate will coordinate CAD work assignments for onsite and outsourced designers, lead the creation of bill of materials and routings for the ERP system, provide technical support to the production team, and participate in continuous improvement project teams. Travel to customer installation sites and manufacturing facilities is required approximately 15% of the time.

Work Site

Onsite office environment - engineers have their own wing but will also interact with assemblers and production workers on the floor. Daily interactions with drafters are expected.
