Aerotek Machinist in Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Job Description
As a Machinist, you will operate and maintain various machinery including CNC lathe and milling machines, plasma tables, water jets, band saws, press brake, and chop saws. Your responsibilities will also include editing programs, holding tight tolerances, and managing set-ups and tooling. You will review drawings, instructions, blueprints, or samples to ensure accurate production. You will need to take precise measurements for cutting or shaping using micrometers and select the appropriate machine and settings for each task. Planning the proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment is also part of the job. Monitoring production, adjusting feed and other settings as necessary, maintaining inventory of completed products, and checking output for quality assurance are key aspects of this role. You will document or discard defects, identify the need for and perform machine maintenance and minor repairs, maintain a safe and clean workstation, and contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

CNC experience is required, both mill and lathe experience is preferred
Ability to work in non-climate controlled environments

Experience using precision measuring instruments
