Aerotek Beverage Technician in Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Job Title: Technician

Job Description

We are seeking skilled technicians to service and repair our automated beverage machines placed in commercial settings, primarily restaurants, across the South Florida area (Dade, Broward, Palm Beach) and occasionally Orlando. The role involves diagnosing equipment issues, working with the machine's software, replacing worn out components, and testing refurbished equipment. The technician will not be fixing defective parts in the field, but diagnosing and swapping them out. Other responsibilities include conducting QA inspections, maintaining detailed records of all refurbishment processes, and coordinating with the procurement team for ordering spare parts/components. There is also a requirement for mailing defective parts back to HQ and receiving new parts.

Hard Skills

  • Mechanical aptitude - using hand tools, experience with pumps, regulators, small motors, flowmeters

  • Electrical aptitude - troubleshooting with multimeters, wiring

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair

  • Inventory control / organization

Soft Skills

  • Customer interaction/customer service

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully remote position.

Work Environment

This role is remote, with technicians reporting from home to client sites in the South Florida area. Technicians will be on call to service machines at local client sites/restaurants and will be expected to drive their own vehicle (receiving mileage) and manage ordering/sending parts from their house. The typical schedule is Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm/6:00pm, depending on customer orders. Weekend work is possible but currently unlikely. Duties will be divided between QA and preventative maintenance for new machines being sent out (1.5 hours each machine, 5-10 each day), and corrective maintenance, refurbishing, troubleshooting used/damaged machines (2-5 hours each machine, receive 2-3 damaged machines weekly).
