Summary About the Position: This is a permanent position as a Training Specialist at the Soldier Support Institute, Fort Jackson, South Carolina. Responsibilities Researches, develops, and explains new ideas, strategies, and devices for integrating and or improving HR officer (commissioned and warrant) training. Works on a program basis under the general supervision of the Division Chief and Director, Training Development Directorate (TDD). Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for resident training learning options and instructional delivery modes, including distance learning for professional development at all levels (IMT, NCO and officer). Implements pilot projects and training programs through documented application of Army Learning Policy and Systems procedures. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) utilizing the Training Development Capability (TDC) databases such as SharePoint, Blackboard Learning Management System, MS Office suite that includes Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power point on a daily basis; 2) reviewing internal and external course assessment and accreditation reports; 3) preparing fact sheets, memoranda, information papers, and graphics for management decisions of training programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade level position in the federal service (GS-11 or above). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
