MDW ASSOCIATES LLC Security Program Support Specialist in Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia

MDW Associates is seeking aSecurity Program Support Specialist tosupport the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) on-site in Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia.

This position requires the candidate to support a variety of traditional Security Programs (physical-, information-, operations-, personnel security, counterintelligence, anti-terrorism, Counter-Insider Threat), and involves ensuring the security of DCMA assets, infrastructure, personnel, sites, and information.

Essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:

  • Integrate specific policy decisions and matters, technical requirements, and methods upon deliberation and decision by government SMEs into a variety of policies, instructions, manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Review a multitude of government policies, manuals, Code of Federal Register entries, statutes, and other foundational documents and synthesize vast sources of information to achieve working familiarity with many security-related policies.
  • Support the Foreign Travel process needs, such as:
    • Provide Foreign Travel Briefings
    • Coordinate Isolated Personnel Report (ISOPREP)
    • Provide customer assistance for dealing with the DoD Foreign Clearance Guide and the Aircraft and Personnel Automated Clearance System (APACS)
    • Research country and location specific threats, information, and requirements from multiple sources and providing customer assistance for dealing with the DoD Foreign Clearance Guide and APACS
    • Ensure completion of Foreign Travel requirements/training).
  • Support recordkeeping and database updates for Personnel Security and Counter-Insider Threat purposes using internal databases and DISS
  • Support Learning Management System Training: managing curriculum, coordinating Instructors within Security, scheduling courses.
  • Update and revise security policy submit to the Government for review, as needed. Provides policy and policy-related analytical support to and submit to the Government for review, as needed.
  • Submit remedy tickets to support the Personnel Accountability Assessment System for functionality of the system or to ensure data accuracy.
  • Provide support to the formal Security Assessment program requiring database updates, technical editing of formal assessments using government policies, benchmarks and quality assurance tools.
  • Update and revise Information Security, Operations Security manuals, and any other policy manuals and documents and submit to the Government for review.

Required Experience/Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in the security industry
  • Previous experience with US Government system of record DISS (previous experience with JPAS +) and contractor information management systems
  • Working knowledge of National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Intelligence Community Directives (ICD's) and supplement Information system security experience
  • Implementing security plans and security training for supporting personnel
  • Professional certifications (e.g. ISP, Security+, etc.) preferred

Education Requirements:

  • Candidates for this position must possess a high school degree
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred

Clearance Requirement(s):

  • Candidates for this position must be eligible for a US DoD Secret Clearance (requires US Citizenship)
  • Candidates with a current Secret clearance preferred
