Army Installation Management Command Information Technology Specialist (CUSTSPT) NF-03 in Fort Greely, Alaska

Summary This position is located within the FMWR Information Management Office on Fort Greely, Alaska. Up to 25% recruitment, relocation, and/or retention incentive may be authorized. Responsibilities Performs highly structured, entry-level work designed to develop broader and more in-depth knowledge and skills such as delivery of IT support services, to include installations, configuration, troubleshooting, customer assistance, and/or training. Communicates factual and procedural information clearly, orally and in writing. Uses established industry practices, procedures or policies to determine the most appropriate approach to problem resolution. Applies information security/information assurance policy, principles and practices. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Work experience, education*, and/or specialized training sufficient to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of Information Technology (IT) principles, concepts and methods as well as skill in applying basic IT principles and practices in: 1. Performing highly structured, entry level work designed to develop broader and more in-depth knowledge and skill needed to perform higher level assignments. 2.Communicating factual and procedural information clearly, orally and in writing. 3.Gathering and analyzing basic facts and drawing conclusions. 4. Data storage, software applications and networking. *If qualifying based on education, transcripts are required at the time of application. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives may be paid. Up to 25% recruitment and/or retention incentive may be authorized. Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will be paid, contingent upon eligibility. Eligible for 3.21% COLA.
