Description
We have an exciting opportunity to join us in supporting one of our valued customers as an Integration Engineer, Journeyman to work out of Ft. Eustis, VA.
Essential Duties:
Primary focus of this role will be focused on testing and troubleshooting complex systems.
Provide expertise in network and software systems during execution of flight tests of experimental manned-unmanned teaming technologies in support of Science and Technology (S&T) programs for the Future Vertical Lift ecosystem.
Develop platform architecture and network requirements to integrate multiple target technologies for evaluation in experimental scenarios in multi-aircraft simulation and flight tests.
Analyze system design and assist with integration of disparate technologies into a cohesive solution.
Recommend and provide execution of creative solutions to overcome integration challenges prior to and during flight test activities.
Develop technical documentation and procedures as required to support test planning and execution.
Communicate clearly both orally and in writing to describe proposed solutions to software development, system integration, and test execution personnel.
Additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Experience with of unmanned aircraft systems, including mission systems, datalinks and communications packages, sensors, and payloads.
Proficiency in coding and scripting languages, including Python, C++, or Bash.
Familiarity with mesh and MANET radio datalinks
Familiarity with UAS command-and-control messaging standards, including MAVLink and STANAG 4586
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with a team of diverse skillsets.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook).
Education/ Certification:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (network, software, or systems) from an accredited university with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in field support for manned and unmanned aviation systems or master’s degree in engineering with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Required Clearance: Clearable (Ability to Obtain Secret)
