UTE INDIAN TRIBE Ute Tribe Water Systems Director in FORT DUCHESNE, Utah
Ute Tribe Water Systems Director will plan, organize, direct and review the activities of the drinking water, water waste and garbage operations for the Ute Tribe ensuring the environmental health of all users by following all regulatory operations a procedural guidelines.
- Responsible for the quality of water that goes out to the public
- Maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies ensuring that all are not limited to the testing, reporting and compliance are met, related to water, waste water, solid following). waste, and public health and safety
- Must be updated on water codes set by EPA
- Supervise, Train, Instruct, and motivate employees
- Must be able to communicate with health officers, project engineers and other agencies involved to solve problems that might arise.
- Review and advise staff at various phases of work and give them specific support as needed
- Plan, direct coordinate, supervise and review the work of assigned crews in scattered locations engaged in water and/or waste water maintenance, repair, installation, and construction
- Developing and implementing improvements to systems and operations, which can improve the operational effectiveness of the department and needs of the community
- Supervise, mentor and plan with program staff under the supervision of the Water System/Environmental Health Department, including corrective action as needed
- Provide and maintains detailed monthly reports to the Executive Director and Assistant Executive Director
- Handle all public relations on all matters concerning the water system, connection request, contract work, dissatisfied customers, etc.
- Responsible for seeking funding opportunities for improvement projects, including Indian Health Service (I.H.S) to obtain funds for needed projects
