Army Installation Management Command Food and Beverage Attendant (Snack Bar) NA-02 in Fort Drum, New York

Summary This position is for Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) at Fort Drum, New York. FMWR includes Child and Youth Services, Business Recreation, and Support Services, which enable Soldier readiness, support the resiliency and well-being of Soldiers and Families. Responsibilities In a Snack Bar prepares a limited variety of short order fast food items such as hamburgers, hot dogs, fish and chicken sandwiches, pizzas, French fries, etc. Assures that tables/work surfaces are promptly cleared and cleaned. Cleans other work areas to include walls, floors, equipment, and storage areas. Takes delivery of supplies and ensures proper storage of shipments after delivery. Accepts food orders from patrons and serves alcoholic beverages. Serves as cashier in the snack bar, receiving payment by cash or charge. Completes cash report at the end of assigned shift. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Qualified candidates will possess the following: Must meet state/local age requirements (18 years of age by 12/11/2023) at the time of appointment if serving alcoholic beverages., AND ability to work without more than normal supervision, AND ability to keep your work area clean, neat and in order, AND experience applying basic food preparation and handling techniques, AND ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions, AND be familiar with basic sanitization principles, AND ability to use and maintain kitchen tools and equipment. FWS Allowances and Differentials This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position. All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
