In-Situ Inc. Shipping Lead in Fort Collins, Colorado
Position title: Shipping Lead Reports to: Materials Manager Department: Operations Are you ready to join an amazing team? We seek a passionate, hands-on individual who will lead in optimizing the shipping process and be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure the team meets daily shipping deadlines by packaging outgoing shipments while adequately protecting them from damage in transit. Minimize and manage Out of Box quality incidents by determining Root Cause and implementing Corrective Action. Understand and enforce departmental policies and procedures for the purpose of shipping all orders per In-Situ policy. Develop and update work instructions to accurately document the department's processes and current state. Train new and existing employees on any procedure related to the department. Drive cross-training activities between the Order Fulfillment, Receiving and Shipping teams. Manage shipping supplies and any inventory related to the department. Monitor and resolve productivity/personnel issues that may arise within the department. Assist the Materials Manager with annual employee evaluations. Communicate companywide, via email, relevant shipping information such as weather-related service delays and holiday schedules. Coordinate with carriers regarding company closures, holiday schedules, etc. Lead by example. Other duties as assigned/needed.
REQUIREMENTS: Ability to work effectively with multiple departments. Proven communication and organizational skills. Familiarity with Windows OS and Windows Office products (Excel and Word). Problem solver and team player with a strong work ethic. Must be punctual to shift times.
DESIRED ATTRIBUTES: Computer skills - Basic understanding of MS Outlook, MS Access, and MS Excel Experience with FedEx Insight and UPS World Ship Software. Understanding of packaging methods and techniques Experience with Lean Manufacturing and understanding of Kanban

Salary/Hourly Range: $22-25 Hourly Additional Compensation: Participation in a Company sponsored variable compensation plan.
