Compensation for this Role: $72,000 - $80,000 (Depending on Experience)

Specific Responsibilities:
Orientation/Onboarding
Serve as the Encore Ambassador to create a positive first impression of Encore Electric and greet new hires upon arrival and see through the entire orientation process
Responsible for overall orientation, including:
Leading first hour of orientation each week, which outlines:
Welcome to Encore/About Encore
Pictures
Timesheets
Workplace expectations
Owning the orientation paperwork and filing process from onboarding through payroll, in conjunction with the HR Generalist and HR Coordinator
Updating orientation material as necessary
Challenging how orientation can be improved, at least quarterly
Leading the charge on facilitating change
Serving as backup for other presenters
Being a resource to the HR Coordinator for pre-employment items to ensure all requirements are completed timely
Conducting adverse action as instructed
Ensure new employee’s paperwork is completed accurately, on time and reported each week:

Performance Management
Administer and oversee the performance review program as instructed, including apprentice self-review, and ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization
Provide compensation guidance with available resources and quarterly evaluate bands and exceptions made
Collaborate with business leadership on specific payroll changes as needed
Ensure that all apprentices have accurate titles by conducting occasional audits and processing title changes even if review not complete timely
Provide feedback as received on performance management process to Senior HR Generalist
Ensure weekly payroll changes are inputted in UKG and communicated to Payroll as instructed
Employee Relations
Support in investigations with HR Leadership, working toward completing independently
Conduct counseling statements as requested and needed
Point of contact for Encore employee issues
Alerts HR Leadership of problems with system and patterns developing with employees
Available at all times to assist with critical employee relations issues
Respond to unemployment cases and attend hearings
Assist and act on 2 day no call no show, and other attendance concerns
Processes
Document and update all processes within the responsibility of the position using the template and storing the processes on OneNote
Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed
Advising
Advise business leadership through complex issues
Must be comforting acting and leading through the uncomfortable
De-escalate concerns and be the voice of calm and reason through escalated situations
Provide reports and information to leadership as necessary to aide in making business decisions
Separations
Process discharged separations in UKG
Send voluntary separations to HR Coordinator for processing and serve as back up
Evaluate exit surveys in Employee Voice, and provide feedback to the HR Leadership and applicable employee manager when necessary
Send separation letters to all employees following their departures
Lead discharged separations as instructed
Compliance
Aware of, works within, and advises on requirements outlined in active and applicable employment law
Assists with Affirmative Action as requested
Identify when Risk Management is needed for collaboration and ensure united approach
Maintain confidentiality of Personally Identifiable Information and know what information can and cannot be shared
Recordkeeping
Establish and maintain records and reports including UKG onboarding module, spectrum folders, etc.
Assist HR Coordinator with paperwork completion and/or saving, etc. as requested
Conduct annual I-9 Audit in conjunction with other HR team members
Annually work to update job descriptions to ensure they are in the correct format, are classified as the correct FLSA status, have the EEO tagline stated and that one is on file for each title
Ensure a job description is on file for every active job title by conducting annual job description initiatives
Recruiting
Assist Talent Acquisition (TA) team upon request with local recruitment practices including, but not limited to:
Greeting candidates and assisting in setting up local interviews
Performing preliminary interviews upon request
Attending local recruitment events
Connecting candidates with TA information such as information on how to apply and sending that information to the appropriate recruiter
General
Assist with business unit specific requests and manage within HR responsibilities
Ensure 2 week and 90 day surveys are completed in Employee Voice and evaluate results bi-weekly
Congratulate new Journeyman in the organization and process payroll change form
Relationship management – pick up the phone and meet in person to build relationships across the organization
Research solutions through reputable sources, such as SHRM
Serve as a change leader in day-to-day processes, implementing new applications and modules, etc.
Work closely with HR Leadership and other HR Generalists on HR initiatives and projects
Has high integrity and ensures consistency across the organization
Attend trainings and seminars, throughout the year, relevant to tasks and assignments
Aware of remote work process and helps to complete when identified
Other duties as may be assigned

REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires at least two years experience in Human Resources as well as a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or other related degree. HR certification preferred.
