Job Description
This position is part of the nation’s AbilityOne Program. AbilityOne is one of the largest sources of employment for people who are blind or have significant disabilities. The program provides products and services such as janitorial and commercial laundry. The program also requires that 75% of the services provided are to be completed by individuals who meet the AbilityOne requirements (blind or have significant disabilities).
Pay: $17.75/hour

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri / 6:00am - 3:00pm or TBD
This full-time position is eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, Short Term Disability, Life/Accidental Death and Dismemberment, Flexible Spending Accounts, Long Term Disability, and several voluntary supplemental benefit offerings. JOB SUMMARY
To ensure that a variety of routine laundry duties, such as stocking shelving, transporting cleaned and soiled linens throughout the facility, providing linen distribution in pre-designated areas of the facility and other assigned duties are performed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Completes a variety of laundry duties to include but is not limited to stocking shelves, transporting cleaned and soiled linens, and linen distribution
• Interprets and follows instructions
• Uses good, attention to detail in seeing torn or stained linens
• Ensures all work is performed at the highest level of quality
• Applies excellent customer service and a pleasant demeanor, with a spirit of cooperation
• Works some weekends and designated holidays
• Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
OTHER REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES
The incumbent must conduct themselves in a professional manner conducive to a product work environment, demonstrate good judgment, ability to interpret and follow instructions, and good hand/eye coordination. The incumbent must be able to communicate properly and work with persons with disabilities and disadvantaging conditions.
In addition, the incumbent will:
• Communicates effectively

• Ability to lift, bend, stoop, walk and stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift 25 pounds, stoop, walk, and stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift heavy items up to 50 lbs, if required
