CACI has an exciting job opportunity for a Systems Engineer (VDI) at our Ft. Liberty, N.C. location.

What You’ll Get to Do:

The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly, both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner. The candidate will be required to work in dynamic fast paced environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts. The candidate must be experienced in interfacing with both client managers and system users and will report directly to the Task Manager.

More About the Role:

The System Engineer will be responsible for supporting systems and applications on a geographically dispersed network with multiple types of servers and server applications. The SE will be directly responsible for the effective and efficient operation and interconnectivity of a Department of Defense network and will execute the actions required to correct deficiencies or shortcomings and to improve system performance and efficiency. The SE will be responsible for the design, implementation, and administration of a virtual desktop environment and all underlying infrastructure. The SE will provide senior level knowledge and Tier 3 support to the customer and their components. Additionally, the SE will provide remote support and/or travel to customer sites and will orchestrate and oversee technical reviews, product research, and cost analysis of IT products, services, concepts, and ideas as directed.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be able to efficiently interface with the client and contract management to smoothly deliver and implement enterprise solutions. This candidate will recommend to the PM/DPMs technical solutions that improve network efficiencies and performance, develop technical implementation plans for approved technical solutions to include engineering diagrams, schedules and equipment cost estimates, and will also provide direct engineering oversight of approved implementations during the installation phase to ensure government objectives are met.

Required:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance

  • Security+ CE or equivalent IAT Level II certification

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Systems Engineering and Administration

  • Foundational knowledge of virtualization, storage, and networking technologies

  • Technical expertise in building and maintaining virtual environments utilizing VMware products

  • Experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure utilizing VMware Horizon or equivalent solutions

  • Experience with Wyse Device Manager or equivalent thin client management solutions

  • Experience configuring and maintaining Windows workstations

  • Technical expertise in building Group Policy Objects and STIG compliance.

Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

Desired:

• VCP-DCV, VCP-DTM, VCP-DW, or equivalent certification

• Experience with Dell VxRail or comparable hyperconverged infrastructure

• Experience with VMware vSAN or comparable virtual storage architectures

• Experience utilizing VMware App Volumes or comparable application delivery solutions

•Experience utilizing FSLogix profile containers

•Experience utilizing Microsoft Deployment Toolkit

•Experience with public cloud based VDI solutions such as Amazon WorkSpaces or Azure Virtual Desktop.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$70,900 - $148,900
