Job Summary: EMCOR Government Services is seeking a talented Central Utility Plant (CUP) Manager for a bid proposal at Womack Army Medical Center at Fort Liberty, NC. This is an exciting opportunity to work at a state-of-the-art medical complex
The CUP Manager supervises the other Boiler Operators / Engineers and monitors, repairs, and performs Preventative Maintenance (PM) on all the equipment in the Central Utilities Plant (CUP). This position requires a licensed boiler operator / engineer with supervisory experience and mechanical and electrical aptitudes.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise the other Boiler Operators / Engineers in the CUP.
Prepares the rotating work schedule (24/7/365) for the Boiler Operator / Engineers.
Monitors the equipment within the CUP using the Building Monitoring System (BMS).
Monitors the Power Monitoring System (PMS) to ensure that the electrical systems are operational.
Works with the Building Engineer in the hospital to ensure that all mechanical systems are operational.
Make equipment rounds per shift.
Ensure that the CUP is a clean and safe building.
Repair equipment within the CUP as required.
Coordinate repairs by in-house staff or vendors with the government.
Be able to specify and order material and replacement parts.
Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) on CUP equipment as required.
Perform water treatment testing and enter data in daily log. Maintain all Chemistry logs for TJC compliance and audits.
Participate in the daily / monthly / annual and tri-annual TJC compliance of emergency generators.
Participate in the weekly testing of the fire pumps. Maintain all document for TJC compliance and audits.
Receive fuel delivers and update daily logs. Coordinate annual fuel testing for TJC compliance and audits.
Ensure that the daily log book is completed per shift in a timely and professional manner. Verify all entries are accurate with detailed information.
Maintain all records related to The Joint Commission, Safety, DEQ permits and the EPA.
File all daily mechanical rounds sheets for review by the Contract Maintenance Manager.
Read, understand, and present weekly Took Box safety literature to the CUP staff.
Follow and implement standard Lock Out Tag Out policies and procedures.
OSHA 10 / 30 General Industry Safety and Health Certification preferred
Complete Work Order and Preventative Maintenance (PM) paperwork in a timely and professional manner.
Attend weekly supervisors’ meetings.
Performs annual employee evaluations.
Qualifications:
5 Years Hospital experience
Must have at least five (5) years' experience in Central Utility Plant management operations, plus at least a two-year technical or applied science degree from an accredited US institution of higher learning.
The CUP Manager shall possess and maintaining a current “Operating Engineer” or equivalent license approved by the client. This license shall be a National Institute for the Uniform Licensing of Power Engineers (NIULPE) First Class Engineer or equivalent as approved by the client.
Must be familiar with applicable HVAC, OSHA, NFPA/ASME, and ANSI/NEMA codes
Must complete an OSHA 10 & 30 General Safety and Health Training class (supplied by EMCOR).
Must have a current driver’s license from a local jurisdiction.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
