Amentum Security Specialist in Fort Belvoir, Virginia

*This position is contingent upon contract award*

Provides security expertise, guidance, consultation, facilitation, and leadership in all security related functions pertaining to: personnel security; industrial and physical security; computer investigation and awareness; security operations; and other security business.

Required Skills/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree and 3-6 years includes >2 years within DoD/IC * and * For Access Control Specialist Positions: Experience must include >2 years of SMS and CAC. (4 additional years experience required in lieu of degree)

  • General knowledge of security practices with emphasis in personnel, physical and/or industrial security.

  • Experience may be broad based, crossing multiple markets (e.g., government, industry) and may also include relevant and associated certifications and knowledge of applicable tools, methodologies, or best practices.

  • Works independently and closely with senior specialists or task leads.

  • Must obtain DoD Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Certification IAW DoD Manual # 3305.13M within 1 year of service start date.

  • Must possess an active U.S. Government issued TS/SCI clearance

Desired Skills/Experience

  • Significant experience in a distinct functional or cross-functional security areas (e.g., personnel, physical, industrial security; computer investigations; classification management; operational security; security education, etc.)

  • Directing activities of specialists or other staff related to the specified security field or security discipline.
