Summary About the Position: Office of the Chief Information Officer, US Army Enterprise Services Agency, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060. Responsibilities Provide technical and administrative guidance to and advises Directors and workforce on all Personnel security issues referenced in DoD 5200.2-R (Personnel Security Program), and DA 380-67 (Personnel Security Program). Ensure all personnel have the proper security clearance and coordinates in/out processing of workforce personnel. Advise on procedures governing classification, declassification, downgrading, and safeguarding of national security information. Review, analyze, interpret, and evaluate highly sensitive information for security clearance consideration. Responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, and implementing a security, safety and crime prevention program appropriate for ESA. Perform staff visits to activities, providing guidance on policy and ensuring the objectives of the force protection, security awareness, and physical security are met. Attend all safety-related meetings and trainings and develops and conducts all security and safety training to inform and educate workforce. Advise on procedures governing classification, declassification, downgrading, and safeguarding of national security information. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) provide security guidance, direct support, or technical assistance in all matters related to Personnel and Physical Security (including security clearance applications, periodic re-investigations, resolving security clearance problems), 2) analyze security systems to safeguard facilities or documents; and 3) adjudicate results of local records checks to grant or deny interim security clearances as appropriate. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Security Program Management Accountabilities Personnel Security Security Education, Training and Awareness Planning and Evaluating Written Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
