U.S. Army Communications Electronics Command Information Technology Cybersecurity Specialist (Information Security) in Fort Belvoir, Virginia

Summary About the Position: Information Technology Cybersecurity Specialist (Information Security), GS-2210-13, position located in Fort Belvoir, Virginia. This position supports work for the Directorate of Production Engineering at Tobyhanna Army Depot. This position will be filled using the Direct Hiring Authority (DHA) for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in Department of Defense (DoD). Responsibilities Perform vulnerability assessments using approved Department of Defense scan and analysis tools. Provide Risk Management Framework Assessment and Authorization support. Plan, coordinate, and provide information systems security analysis or certification/validation to appropriate program offices. Maintain policy updates for Assured Compliance Assessment Solution Content Automation Protocol (ACAS), Nessus, and SCAP scanning tools. Serve as the cybersecurity technical advisor for programs at working group meetings, security reviews, and program status reviews. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies: 1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2) Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3) Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4) Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. In addition to the competencies, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal Service which includes: 1) Devising solutions to problems for which precedents are lacking and which require innovative approaches and system designs; 2) Installing, testing, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining hardware and software systems in support of cyber operations; AND 3) Resolving hardware/software interface and interoperability problems in support of cyber operations. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. This is a Career Program (CP) 34 position.
