The Red Gate Group is seeking a skilled Exercise Planner to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) in delivering exceptional Counter-Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) training and exercise programs. In this critical role, you will design, manage, and execute realistic and relevant training exercises to meet the requirements of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency and Geographic Combatant Commands (GCCs).
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and facilitate comprehensive CWMD training events, including exercise design, training plans, and scenario development.
Construct and manage injects for Exercise Master Scenario Events List (MSEL) and create detailed exercise control cell instructions and evaluation criteria.
Assess training and exercises to ensure objectives are met, providing actionable feedback through after-action reviews and reports.
Collaborate closely with military units and organizations throughout the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) to align training objectives with operational needs.
Provide strategic and operational level support for addressing Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBRN) threats in training scenarios.
Facilitate coordination across DTRA to maintain training and exercise integrity while balancing interagency and partner nation requirements.
Travel as required to CONUS and OCONUS locations, participating in planning meetings, site surveys, and exercise execution.
Active TS/SCI Clearance (required).
U.S. passport eligibility and readiness for up to 40% travel.
Proven experience in managing and directing workgroups, conducting post-exercise analyses, and leading large or small group planning meetings.
Working knowledge of JTT, JTIMS, and other Joint Training systems.
Preferred background as a commissioned officer, non-commissioned officer, or DoD civilian equivalent with at least three years of experience in military training for joint or combined organizations.
