Job Title: Controls Engineer
Job Description
As a Controls Engineer, you will design, develop, and supervise all aspects of electrical control systems, equipment, and machinery. You will manage the installation and support of PLC-based hardware and software, plan and manage new or modified installations to optimize resources, improve quality, and reduce downtime. Additionally, you will identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, provide technical support and guidance to maintenance and production teams, and offer hands-on support to troubleshoot existing installations.
Hard Skills
PLC programming (e.g. Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
Programming Logic Controllers (PLCs)
HMI/OIT systems configuration and design
RSLogix 500, FactoryTalk Studio, Rslinx
Vision Systems (e.g. Eagle Vision, Keyence)
Motion Controllers/Actuators (e.g. Yasakawa, ABB, Kinetix)
RS232 and RS485 protocol, Profibus DP/PA protocols
Variable Frequency Drive systems
Motor Control Centers
Analog and Digital signals
Low to Medium power distribution systems
Troubleshooting control system issues
Reading and understanding electrical schematics, ladder logic programs, process flow diagram, and process and instrumentation diagrams
