Your role at Clorox:

As a Sr. EIC Engineer at Clorox, you’ll focus on Processing and Packaging area improvements, utilizing the TRACC continuous improvement strategy. This hands-on role includes leading and supporting teams in developing, designing, installing, and launching new products, implementing product improvements, and integrating technology upgrades. You’ll lead small to medium-sized projects, apply advanced problem-solving, and collaborate closely with both internal teams and external partners to ensure practical, effective solutions.

In this role, you will:

  • Support plant performance by leading as a guide of the EIC discipline to deliver better safety, operability, and efficiency for our production and packaging area, to include but not limited to:

  • Provide engineering technical support to maintenance and plant operations to deliver performance improvements, safety, quality, innovation, and/or cost savings.

  • Use technical materials such as equipment manuals, system drawings, P&IDs, schematics, and blueprints to solve and repair complex electrical/control systems

  • Capital Project Management/Execution including design, procurement, construction, commissioning, & validation

  • Manage outside engineering firms deliver project design details.

  • Provide leadership and supervision to construction contractors and equipment vendors.

  • Support and drive regulatory compliance

  • Interpret industry, regulatory, company specifications and standards and apply to projects

  • Leading troubleshooting & root cause analysis on Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls critical issues / opportunities

  • Find opportunities and build capability on our operations and maintenance teams.

  • Support system start-up and operational checkout on systems including configuration, wiring, calibration, and power testing

  • Provide hardware support assistance to engineers and operations. Installation and configuration of PLC, HMI, message boards, etc., as well as plant floor communication interfaces and cabling between PLC's, HMI's, and SCADA nodes

  • Provide software application support assistance. Maintain the control system software to corporate standards for approved products versions, keeping vendor software support current

  • Lead Autonomous Maintenance and other equipment reliability projects.

What we look for:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience (Maintenance, Project management and production/operations)

  • 2+ years of capital project management experience within manufacturing (preferred).

  • BS Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years of experience in batch and continuous manufacturing; experience with packaging lines is preferred

  • Strong working knowledge of Rockwell Automation / Allen Bradley products as noted below.

  • Asset Centre, Factory Talk Studio, Factory Talk SE / ME, RS Studio 5000, ControlLogix, CompactLogix & GuardLogix, PanelView, PowerFlex

  • Network – Ethernet IP, FieldBus

  • Engineering or operations experience with consumer-packaged goods packaging equipment and systems is preferred

  • Effective interpersonal skills, motivation & commitment to lead and direct others to deliver results

  • Controls experience and knowledge with PLC, VFD, Communication and Networking as well as instrumentation

  • Working knowledge of NEC, ANSI, IEC, NEMA, NFPA

  • Working knowledge of industrial power and lighting applications; electrical safety; power distribution; and MCC, conduit and wiring

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

–Zone A: $86,600 - $161,900

–Zone B: $79,400 - $148,400

–Zone C: $72,100 - $134,900

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
