Velosity Companies Experienced CNC Mill Machinist - $3,000 SIGN ON BONUS in Forest Lake, Minnesota

Custom Mold & Design, a Velosity Companyis hiring a CNC Hard Mill Machinist on 2nd shift to support our manufacturing facility in Forest Lake, MN. This position is responsible for machining precision hardened mold components with Rockwell hardness ranging from 42Rc to 62Rc. CMD is committed to supplying employees with top-of-the-line equipment including high-end hard mill CNC's, inspection tools, and fixtures to ensure optimal results. This position reports to the Operations Manager and has no direct reports. The typical range for this role: $30.25 - $40.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. Continuous professional development to stay updated with new machining technologies and techniques. Valid identification and the ability to work legally in the United States, required Essential Duties: Operate and set up CNC machines to produce precision machines parts. Interpret technical blueprints and designs to understand the specifications and requirements of a part. Conducted regular maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines, ensuring they operate smoothly and efficiently. Measure and examine completed parts to verify conformance to specifications using precision tools like micrometers and gauge pins. Select, align, and secured holding fixtures, cutting tools, and materials onto machines. Adjusted machine settings to optimize production while maintaining quality. Kept a detailed record of processes, tool usage, and production output. Adhered to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Collaborated with engineers or CNC programmers for custom jobs or to refine manufacturing processes. Operate all necessary equipment in a safe manner with little or no supervision Ability to work well in a team, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. Other tasks as assigned by supervisor. Work Conditions & Physical Demands: This is a non-smoking, professional tool shop with normal lighting, climate control. The shop environment may be subject to airborne contaminants and chemical odors as would be customary in a tool making and/or molding shop. In this role, you must be able to regularly life 30-50 lbs., perform repetitive tasks, possess manual dexterity, be able to stand for long periods of time (up to 10 hours per day), ability to wear safety equipment such as safety glasses, and see well (either naturally or with corrections). We maintain a drug-free workplace and perform pre-employment substance abuse testing. Velosity is an E-Verify employer. Velosity maintains ITAR-compliant operations in our facilities.
