Required Shift:

12 Hour Night Shift

2-2-3 Rotating Shift

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday

Hours: 6pm - 6:30am

Job Purpose:

The Controls Technician is the PCIS systems owner for the production areas and responsible for eliminating maintenance and breakdown related losses. The PCIS Technician is responsible for repairing and maintaining all site equipment. Also including the following:

What are we looking for?

Minimum Requirements: Must meet time in role (12 months) Must have approval from line manager to apply Must currently be in good standing 2-year Technical Degree/Certificate (Electrical/Electronic/Controls/Automation) or equivalent experience 1 years Instrumentation and Electrical, Electronics, and Factory Controls and IT experience, including production system troubleshooting and problem resolution 1 years experience in a controls function, working in a manufacturing environment

Physical Requirements: Frequent lifting/carrying pushing (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs) Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling and gripping Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, leaning over equipment and work in confined spaces Ability to stand and/or work on feet for extended periods (minimum eight hours in one shift). Ability to read, write and speak English

Preferred Qualifications: 2-year Technical Degree (Electrical/Electronic/Controls/Automation) 2 years Instrumentation and Electrical, Electronics, or Factory Controls and IT experience, including production system troubleshooting and problem resolution Server Administration, Virtual Infrastructure Administration, and Database Administration knowledge Possess or can obtain Operational Electrical Qualification Certificate (must be able to work independently on live electrical panels)

What will be your Key Responsibilities? In-depth contact with users must be maintained to gather information processing on problems or requirements Demonstrate the ability to analyze and test applications for Factory Control systems Good understanding of Rockwell 5000 and Siemens Step 7 Controls Systems environments including ControlLogix, CompactLogix, Factory Talk, Step 7, and thin-client technologies Ability to work well with user departments to provide operational support in the use of HMI terminals, including thin client, along with software applications on Control Systems Basic knowledge of databases such as Wonderware automation software Understanding of networks including, but not limited to, Ethernet, DeviceNet, ControlNet, Profibus, and ProfiNet Ability to troubleshoot programs residing in Siemens, and/or Rockwell Automation PLC Control Systems in the plant Must have a good understanding of interfacing with PLC's, scales, display devices, and other Instrumentation and Electrical related devices In-depth knowledge of installation, programming, and troubleshooting of VFDs, Servo Drives, and sensors.
