Job Summary:

Lead and develop a team of Trainers to ensure excellence in technical skill development for Jabil CVG.

1st Shift

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Leadership and People Management Responsibilities

Recruitment and Retention:

  • Recruit, interview, and hire employees for the Learning and Development Team.

  • Communicate criteria to recruiters for team positions.

  • Monitor team member turnover; identify and implement improvements to reduce turnover.

Employee and Team Development:

  • Identify individual and team strengths and development needs regularly.

  • Create and validate training curriculum within the area of responsibility.

  • Coach and mentor Trainers to deliver excellence to every internal and external customer.

  • Create and manage succession plans for the Training function.

Performance Management:

  • Establish clear, measurable goals and objectives for individual and team performance.

  • Drive continuous improvement in key operational metrics and organizational goals.

Communication:

  • Organize verbal and written ideas clearly, using an appropriate business style.

  • Adapt communication style to suit individual team members.

Team Leader Responsibilities

Business Strategy and Direction:

  • Assist in implementing a Training development strategy aligned with L&D and plant strategic objectives.

  • Drive strategy implementation through effective performance management of team members.

Technical Management Responsibilities

  • Stay updated with new initiatives in training and education, such as e-learning.

  • Ensure effective orientation for all employees at Jabil.

  • Advocate the importance of training and education across the campus, ensuring employees can develop required job skills.

  • Drive continuous improvement in the Training team through trend analysis, metrics management, and skill enhancement.

  • Ensure procedures and work instructions are efficient and non-redundant, such as ISO Training Procedures.

  • Propose and implement new practices and processes for improvement.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to customer service by anticipating, meeting, and exceeding expectations; prioritize solving customer issues quickly and effectively.

  • Regularly communicate the overall training and development strategy.

  • Lead by example.

  • Establish new measurement systems where possible.

  • Exchange knowledge and information with other Training Supervisors to ensure best practices are shared across the Jabil organization.

  • Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations related to this position.

  • Comply with and follow all company security policies and procedures.
