Belterra Casino Resort & Spa SPA ATTENDANT in Florence, Indiana
The Spa Attendant is responsible for meeting and exceeding guest expectations by providing and maintaining a high level of guest service to both internal and external guests, using Boyd Gaming VIEW service standard. The Spa Attendant is also responsible for all Spa Front Desk operations, such as greeting and accommodating guests. Incumbent maintains organization and cleanliness of the Spa office, stockroom, treatment suites, and fitness center, and facilitates payment processing, reservations, scheduling of Massage Therapists, clerical duties, and promotion/selling of retail and services.
The spa will be open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays 9am - 6pm.
- Availability must allow for the following schedule:
- Monday 10a-2p
- Thursday 10a-2p
- Friday 11a-630 or 7p* based on business
- Saturday 11a-630 or 7p * based on business
- Sunday 11a-7p

- The Spa Attendant provides superior guest service, positively effects interactions with external and internal customers and employees and has the resiliency to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions and the ability to work harmoniously with team members.
- Provides friendly, efficient and accurate service during guest check-in and checkout. Provides guests with instruction and expectations for scheduled treatment(s) as well as instruction for the fitness center.
- The Spa Attendant monitors and maintains organization and cleanliness of work area, reception area, fitness center, and treatment suites. Ensures that all supplies and amenities are stocked and available to guests (slippers, robes, towels, linens, beverages, etc.). Stocks and sanitizes treatment suites and discards soiled linens.
- Keeps an accurate cash bank, makes change, handles sales transactions and properly distributes cash gratuities at the end of each shift. Able to process gift cards, sales and redemption.
- The Spa Attendant maintains and monitors inventory par levels and notifies Hotel Leadership when ordering is necessary.
- Schedules and confirms appointments in a timely manner, between numerous service providers. Provides accurate knowledge of all spa services to inquiring guests.
- The Spa Attendant reports any safety hazards to Hotel Leadership.
- Promotes and sells spa services and meets monthly sales quotas, if applicable.
- The Spa Attendant assists in other job functions, as needed.

- Knowledge of fitness and equipment preferred.
- Computer and phone skills a must.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, weekends required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
- Ability to work and make decisions in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to prioritize and organize tasks.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
These skills and abilities are typically acquired through previous guest service experience in a guest facing role involving high profile guest contact, or through two (2) months of on-the-job training.
