Rocky Gap Casino Floorperson - Slot in Flintstone, Maryland

Responsible for providing efficient service to all slot guests and ensures slot machines are monitored on a continual basis for full capacity operation.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Processes jackpot wins and notifies the Shift Supervisor as needed.
  2. Supervises necessary authorization (request for jackpot) and pay out of hand-paid jackpots in accordance with policy.
  3. Ensures that slot machines are filled with ticket paper, so as to keep machines in constant operation.
  4. Services minor machine and printer malfunctions.
  5. Notifies gaming supervisors, Assistant Shift Managers, Shift Managers, or slot mechanics of guest needs and requests; follows up to ensure positive guest relations.
  6. Assists in maintaining slot floor security by notifying department heads of any suspicious activity.
  7. Maintains current knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming laws (federal, state, etc.) and attendant regulations, as well as the propertys internal controls, policies and procedures.
  8. Promotes departmental and property-wide promotions with all guests.
  9. Promotes positive guest relations through prompt, courteous and efficient service.
  10. All other duties as assigned.

REPORTING LINE

You will report directly to the Gaming Supervisor and then to the Assistant Shift Manager and Shift Manager.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have excellent communication skills, be polite, and present a neat appearance at all times.
  • The ability to work with others as a team in an efficient manner.
  • The ability to apply common sense reasoning to variety of situations

``` - Proven experience providing high level of guest service - The ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide - The ability to read, write, comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English

``` - The availability to work all shifts. - The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stressful situations. - Must be at least 18 years old. - Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company. - The ability to verify the right to work in the United States.

EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or equivalent. A minimum of 6 months of experience preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the property for prolonged periods of time. Ability to push, pull, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crawl, twist, sit, climb, balance, carry and lift to 25lbs. Constant use of hearing, speech, vision (including distinguishing between shades of color), radios, and tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Will be exposed to working in a noisy environment and seasonal elements. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
