Job Title: Distribution Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking Distribution Engineers for a one-year contract-to-direct position. In this role, you will connect new homes and commercial businesses to the energy grid or upgrade existing connections. You will start by visiting assigned work sites to conduct field work, taking notes, pictures, and measurements that will inform electrical drawings and analyses. Your work will include structural analysis of poles, cable pulling, transformer sizing, and creating Bills of Materials (BOM) using SAP software. You will interact daily with supervisors, peer groups, and customers, solving a variety of problems using professional concepts.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in WALLED LAKE, MI and some days remote.
Work Environment
Selected individuals will do their own field work with the flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of the time. Field work can be scheduled around other projects and weather. The role involves 10%-20% field inspections, 60%-80% engineering and development of design packages, and 10% administrative tasks and customer follow-up.
Locations include: South - Hamilton, Coldwater, Kalamazoo, Battle Creek, Lansing, Jackson, Adrian, South Monroe. East - West Branch, Clare, Saginaw, Bay City, Alma, Flint. West - Traverse City, Benzie, Boyne, Grand Rapids, Greenville, North Kent, Muskegon, Fremont, Cadillac, Big Rapids, Ludington.
