Education, Licenses, Certifications:
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Significant work experience and in-depth knowledge obtained through specialized training and relevant experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
Additional Information:
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Respond to all equipment failures with speed and accuracy to minimize production downtime.
Perform maintenance per Preventive Maintenance schedule
Always prioritize safe maintenance practices and report deficiencies to supervision
Provide technical and electrical support for all equipment and/or machinery as required to ensure minimal downtime in producing customer orders
Ability to install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components-- photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tachometers, and encoders.
Ability to troubleshoot PLC programs, ladder logic (read use for troubleshooting), components (CPU back planes, I/O boards, counters, modules, and devices) and communications modules (Ethernet).
Ability to troubleshoot 6 axis robotics (FANUC & ABB), including running cables, teaching points and homing positions
Work closely with Manufacturing Engineers to increase availability and effectiveness of work processes and machines.
Assist in relocation of equipment and machinery for moves and special events (as required)
Operate and use all devices, tools and equipment in a safe manner and ensure safe operation during all use
Thoroughly understand and perform required lock-out tag-out procedures in a safe manner prior to any maintenance on machines
Contribute to determination of RCA for equipment breakdowns
Ensure compliance with all Environmental, Health, and Safety Programs
COMPENTENCIES:
Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and lift for up to 10 hours
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
Ability to work a flexible schedule and overtime as needed
Ability to read and interpret work instructions, drawings, schematics, blueprints, and/or other diagrams
Ability to troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment and perform necessary repairs in a safe and timely manner.
Ability to identify opportunities for mechanical and electrical improvements on new and aging machines and equipment within the facility
Ability to multi-task in a high noise and high activity environment
Basic computer skills
Fork truck, scissor lift, crane experience preferred
