Staff Engineer, Application Engineering (Job Code: E934) - Fishkill, NY. Multiple positions available. JOB DESCRIPTION: Provide IP bring up and debugging support to SoC teams. Responsible for board and chip level silicon validation and characterization on Marvell’s internal IPs such as High-Speed SerDes, PLL, ADC, power regulator, temperature sensor. Provide IP usage training to Marvell’s internal FAE. Responsible for script development (knowledge of Python, C++, Matlab, Excel VBA) of automated testing. Work with IP design team on new chip features, definitions, and bring-up. Develop technical collateral such as application notes, user guides, data sheet and test reports. Work with architecture team on future product definitions. Telecommuting is permitted.REQUIREMENTS: Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science/Engineering, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.Experience must include three (3) years with each of the following:1.Analog and digital circuit and data communication system.2.At least two of SerDes technologies such as PCI Express, Ethernet, CEI XSR, CPRI, DDR, SATA, USB, SPI, IIC.3.Semiconductor chip lab testing and measurement.4.High speed PHY IP characterization and qualification including Tx signal integrity, impedance, Rx JTOL, PLL temperature ramping.5.PHY supporting IP characterization and qualification including reference clock generator, ADC, temperature sensor, process monitor.6.PCB design for high speed signaling: schematic, layout and validation.7.SI simulation tools such as ADS and HyperLynx.TO APPLY please send your resume with reference Job Code (E934) to Marvell Semiconductor, Inc.
