The University of Findlay Assistant Professor of Computer Science in Findlay, Ohio

The University of Findlay invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position in Computer Science to begin August 1, 2024.

Candidates must hold a doctorate in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or a related area. A background which includes data analytics or security is desired. Previous teaching experience in F2F, online, and hybrid modalities is expected. Experience in industry is an added strength. Salary is commensurate with qualifications.

Candidates will be expected to teach a variety of courses in fundamental computer science for majors and non-majors at the undergraduate and graduate level. At the undergraduate level, the candidate will teach digital literacy and general programming courses. At the graduate level, the candidate will teach data analytics or security-related courses. The candidate will be expected to contribute towards the development of online course offerings, and new coursework in related areas. In addition to teaching, this candidate will look at ways to further enhance the department offerings. The candidate must be committed to student-centered education, be able to contribute collaboratively to overall program growth in a variety of capacities including recruitment, curriculum development, community outreach and service and be committed to continued professional development and scholarship.
