Temporary Need: 03/01/25- 11/15/25. Two (2) full-time, seasonal, temporary Agricultural Equipment Operators needed. Wage is $17.84/hour. Freequency of pay- bimonthly. Lifting requirements-50 lbs. Total hours per week-45. Hourly work 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. Location: Work will be performed in and around Fillmore, Utah -Millard county. All worksites are employer operated. Job duties: We farm in central Utah. We irrigate approximately 3000 acres and primarily grow corn for silage, alfalfa hay, wheat, and grain hay. We have 39 pivot sprinklers and 10-wheel line sprinklers. We also irrigate some acreage via ditch and flooding a sloped plain. Most of our water is pumped from wells. We do all tasked required to raise our crops including plowing, planting, spraying, irrigating, fertilizing, harvesting, and hauling crops. Job would include a wide variety of farm tasks. This position would be responsible to adjust and monitor irrigation equipment, including monitoring pivots and wells and making necessary adjustments. Ensuring that all nozzles are unplugged and free of obstruction. Also moving wheel line sprinklers. Equipment maintenance and repairs would also be a daily task. We primarily operate John Deere equipment. Ensuring that the equipment is services regularly and is ready to be always used in a safe and effective manner. Job would also include operating the various equipment needed to complete farm tasks. Equipment our include, but not limited to John Deere tractors with auto steer guidance, windrowers, front end loaders, telehandlers, and various semi-trucks with a variety of trailers. Driving a farm truck hauling our commodities short distances would be a very important component of this job. Most of the task can be and would be completed during daylight hours, but some tasked are required to be completed at night, particularly tasks as part of our alfalfa harvest. Employee would need to be willing to work occasionally during nighttime hours. Employees will need to complete routine repairs and maintenance on equipment. Per state regulations, employer is exempt from a commercial CDL requirement for farm trucking. No commercial or heavy truck driving is required. Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer's discretion. All deductions are required by law. Employer may deduct the reasonable cost of damages and/or replacement of tools and/or equipment if such repair or replacement results from willful neglect or gross negligence after the damage has occurred and after gaining the employee's written authorization to make the deduction. Employer may deduct the reasonable cost of negligent damage to lodging facilities and vehicles after damage has occurred and after gaining the employee's written authorization to make the deduction. Job requires extensive walking, repetitive movements, and exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures. Employer will conduct post-hire random drug tests at no cost to the employee to enforce a drug free workplace policy. Failing a drug test will result in termination. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Job requires a regular drivers license and 3 months experience. Family housing not available. Housing will be clean and meet applicable Fed, State and local housing standards. Workers must maintain neat and clean housing. Repair cost of damage, other than normal wear and tear will be deducted from the earnings. Housing/utilities are provided at no cost to workers who are unable to return to their place of residence the same day. If both male and female workers are hired: separate toilet, bathing and sleeping rooms will be provided. The employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities and space for food preparation, as well as the necessary equipment, appliances (including refrigeration),cooking accessories, and dish washing facilities (e.g., adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure) that are in working condition and w ill be used b workers to sufficiently prepare three (3) meals a day. Employer will provide transportation to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries and/or other incidentals. Employer is not a H-2ALC. Employees will be provided with an employer owned vehicle to drive to and from work and to town for errands. Daily transportation schedule will coincide with the work schedule outlined on this application, or as agreed upon between employer and employee based on seasonal demands and/or workload. A different vehicle(s) may be provided which meets all DOT requirements if the following is no longer available. The vehicle provided will be a 2008 Nissan Titan truck, 2016 Chevy Silverado and a 2008 Chevy Silverado truck that has capacity of 4 each. Transportation will be provided at no cost to workers, from employer-provided housing and, if applicable, centralized pick-up points to the places of employment at the beginning of each workday and back at the end of each work day. The employer will pay the worker for reasonable costs incurred by the worker for transportation and daily subsistence from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer, whether in the U.S. or abroad to the place of employment (inbound/outbound). The employer will permit workers to select any means of transportation they choose and reimburse workers at no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charges for the distances involved. The minimum allowable amount of travel-related subsistence payment of $15.88 per day and a maximum amount up to $59.00 per day for situations where workers provide receipts. The employer will provide advance transportation for reasonable (most economical) common carrier or other transportation which conforms to the Interstate Commerce Commission (ICC) inbound transportation. If not the prevailing practice, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation costs and subsistence to the employer's work site when the worker completes 50% of the work period. Workers who provide receipts for meals and non-alcoholic beverages in excess of will be reimbursed during the first pay periods, up to the maximum amount (listed above) per 24 hour period of travel from place of recruitment to the place of employment. Workers who voluntarily quit or are terminated for cause prior to completing 50% of the contract period will be required to reimburse the employer for the full amounts of transportation and subsistence which were advanced and/or reimbursed to the worker. Employer will provide advance transportation for reasonable (most economical) common carrier or other transportation which conforms to the Interstate Commerce Commission (ICC) inbound transportation. All tools, supplies and equipment necessary to perform the duties assigned will be provided at no cost or deposit to the worker. The employer will provide, at no cost to the worker, Workers' Compensation coverage or private insurance which is equal to Workers' Compensation laws for comparable employment. Applicants that have not worked as a livestock worker during the past twelve (12) months, up to two (2) references will be required. The employer guarantees to offer the worker employment for a total number of work days equal to at least 3/4's of the total work period beginning with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or advertised contractual first day of need.
