Visit us at: www.OdysseyLogistics.com/careers About the Job: The position of Dispatch Operations Manager will have primary responsibility to oversee the dispatch department. This associate is responsible for covering subordinates during an absence, writing and giving yearly reviews, dealing directly with complaints and issues, and creating and implementing new procedures and technologies to improve the workflow.The manager may be required to discipline individuals and is required to remain compliant with company policy and procedures Work Schedule: Monday through Friday Shift Hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm In This Role, You Will: Coordinate the hiring of dispatchers with human resources Responsible for running reports Responsible for managing and training of dispatchers Encourage and promote a positive work environment Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and maximize revenue Responsible for managing leased equipment Responsible for managing Independent Contractors(drivers) Support of warehouse and yard operations as needed Manage all drivers' notices. Including obtaining signatures as needed and ensuring copies are retained as required. Responding to driver incidents as needed. This includes but is not limited to the following: Possible accident site visits Incident report completion and submission Collection and submission of documents, photographs, statements, or other data associated with an incident DOT/FMCSA compliance as assigned. This includes but is not limited to the following: Monitoring and input of all required data into electric driver files Monitoring and input of all state DOT requirements into physical driver files Support of warehouse and yard operations as needed. Identify potential problems and find solutions to ALL OTHER DUTIES AND PROJECTS AS ASSIGNED. Knowledge of and experience with both Seattle and Tacoma port operations 10+ years dispatch experience
