Bergeson Nursery, LLC Farmworker / Laborer in Fertile, Minnesota

Need 1 full time, temporary, seasonal Farmworker / Laborer to work in Fertile, MN. From: 03/12/2024 to 08/30/2024 Work: 48 hrs./week, Mon. - Sat. 8 hrs./day All hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. Must Apply By: 06/06/2024 JOB DESCRIPTION: Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2092 Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery, and Greenhouse such as manually plant, cultivate, and transport greenhouse crops. Operate vacuum seeder for greenhouse crops. Fill greenhouse seeding flats with precision. Repetitive lifting and transportation of filled pots and flats, up to 50 pounds. Watering of greenhouse crops. Manual labor in extreme temps at times. Planting and hand tilling of field nursery crops. Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping. Extensive bending over. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Three (3) months experience; able to lift 50 lbs., able to perform work exposed to extreme temperatures, with extensive pushing, pulling, walking, frequent stooping or bending over, and repetitive movements. No minimum education required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
