Samson Rope Technologies Field Service Technician (Texas) in Ferndale, Washington

Samson Rope Technologies Description:

Samson, the worldwide leader in high performance cordage, is seeking a Field Service Technician, who will support the Sales departments with regards to customer product maintenance, Samson program support (ICARIA), and customer training while practicing a high level of business ethics and professionalism and adhering to safety and quality guidelines in support of Samson strategy and core values.

  • Interested in traveling to diverse locations including Europe, Middle East, South Asia, Australia, and throughout North America, approximately 50% of the time.
  • Able to deliver excellent customer service through supporting customers on land and at sea.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist team members with customer support in regards to splicing, product installation, and product inspections. This can be done by remotely or in-field as required.
  • Engage in active asset and customer management through gathering technical data from customers and completing data entry, review, and management of valuable customer data.
  • Train to become an in-house expert on all aspects of rope fabrication work with customers to problem solve and develop solutions for their specific application and training needs.
  • Support the sales department as necessary with technical support, customer training, and other services rendered.
  • Support online training development and utilization.
  • Learn hands-on splicing skills that are transferrable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Should Have:

 

Education:

  • Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Desired: Associate Degree

Experience:

  • Required: Minimum of 1 year of experience in industrial, manufacturing or other related field.
  • Desired: Experience with technical support and/or technical field support experience. Experience with customer data management and working with SaaS platforms.

Licensure/Certification Requirements:

  • Able to obtain TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) card.
  • Have or able to obtain Passport for International Travel.
  • Able to obtain any other certification/credential as required such as Helicopter Underwater Egress Training (HUET)
