The Minnesota Veterans Home - Fergus Falls is seeking to fill one (1) part-time rotating day/evening shifts position. The day shift is 6:00am-2:30pm and the evening shift is 2:00pm-10:30pm; weekends as assigned primarily on the day shift. The work schedule will include at least 32 hours per two-week pay period and may include additional work hours, based on business needs. The position is not initially eligible for health care benefits.
Deliver licensed practical nursing care within the LPN scope of practice, as defined by the Minnesota Nurse Practice Act, for residents. Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to promote the well-being, health and safety of residents in a person-centered, long-term care environment.
Minimum Qualifications
Licensed in Minnesota as a Practical Nurse, in good standing
Ability to communicate effectively, follow instructions, and take legible notes
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a long-term care environment
Experience working with Veterans

This position requires successful completion of the following:
A Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) background check may be conducted on the top finalist(s) for the position(s). When conducted, a finalist must pass the DHS background check.
A Tuberculosis (Mantoux) screening (or chest x-ray) is required prior to employment.
