Cogent is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dependableField Service Controls Technicianto join our team in Fenton Missouri.
Essential Responsibilities:
Work independently or as a team to service and maintain various types of electrical controls equipment typically found in the water and wastewater industry.
Installation, Start-up and Calibration of Process Instrumentation: Flow Meters, Pressure Transmitters, Level, Temperature and Analytical Instrumentation.
Frequently working under tight deadlines in the field and/or service center.
Start-up, troubleshooting, retrofits and repair of control systems for pump and process control systems from basic across the line control systems to soft starters, VFD and specialty pump controllers.
Electrical wiring, conduit and wire installations of control panels including entire service entrance equipment.
Assists in planning, installation, repair and troubleshooting of new or modified installations for electrical systems.
Works as an "Emergency Responder" as necessary. Must be able to travel on short notice and work outside of normal business hours when necessary.

Position Requirements
Qualified candidates will have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
A high school diploma or GED is required; a degree from a technical or vocational school in mechanics or electronics is preferred.
Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced and continuously changing field.
Ability to troubleshoot electrical control systems required.
Ability to work overtime on short notice required.
High-level communication and organization skills and a positive attitude toward customer service are required.
Basic computer knowledge required (Gmail, Word, Excel).
Ability to manually lift and maneuver heavy objects, parts, equipment, and materials required.
Ability to work under little supervision.
