Maritz Compensation Analyst in Fenton, Missouri

The Compensation Analyst performs studies, analyses, and administrative tasks to maintain and improve the company's compensation programs and practices.

This is a hybrid role on our Fenton, MO campus (3 days per week - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).

30% - COMPENSATION ANALYSIS: Perform market pricing using external salary surveys and internal equity to grade job descriptions, determine FLSA status, and salary range. Works with P&D to gain consensus on market data matches utilized in the evaluation. Consults with P&D to guide management through the proper procedures, sharing best practices as needed. Updates and maintains the job code set-up table in the current HR information system. Maintains a job audit process in order to keep all company job documentation accurate and up-to-date.

30% - BONUS ADMINISTRATION: Administers the company bonus program. Configure, maintain, and test bonus system to ensure accurate processing. Work with Finance teams to model and project amounts, providing detailed reporting regularly. Work with payroll to load payments into HRIS system and balance totals. First point of contact for inquiries regarding plan rules, procedures and policy.

20% - MERIT INCREASE PLANNING: Administers the company merit process and acts as the project leader for annual planning process. Works with P&D, HRIS and Payroll to gather details needed and updates project schedules. Meet with business partners to determine merit pools and employee eligibility. Configure Workday and test thoroughly to ensure accuracy in pool amounts for each manager. Work with payroll to test and balance merit amounts in the HRIS system. First point of contact for inquiries regarding plan rules, procedures, and policy.

20% - SPECIAL PROJECTS: Special projects include participation in salary surveys, perform geographic differential analysis, use established reports or creates new reports to facilitate balancing records or scrubbing files, prepares reports for special requests by upper management and executive teams, prepares materials for annual executive team meetings.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or related field required with an emphasis in Human Resource Management preferred. Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation a plus.

  2. Two to four years' experience in Compensation preferred.

  3. Experience with Payfactors, or similar compensation software preferred.

  4. Detail orientation with a demonstrated ability to conduct analysis using spreadsheet tools . Intermediate knowledge of Excel required.

  5. Excellent math skills with basic statistics preferred.

  6. Excellent communication and organization skills with the ability to work independently under tight timelines. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  7. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite required. Experience with Workday a plus.

  8. Must be able to handle and maintain confidential information.
