Novares US LLC CMM Technician in FELTON, Pennsylvania
Novares US LLC (formerly Key Plastics LLC) is currently seeking an experienced CMM Technician that has experience programming 3-D coordinate measuring machine. We have purchased a new Zeiss with CALYPSO O-Inspect software. Preferred experience with this software but not necessary. GD and T experience is also important with this position. Main missions1 - Participate in defining the dimensioning for product drawings- Participate in drawing reviews- Make decisions concerning feasibility of measurements- Participate in analyzing customer drawings and propose dimensioning improvements- Identify, process and explain the information required for his/her work environment2 - In compliance with quality/cost/lead time requirements, perform dimensional checks on product with respect to its definition (drawing or digital definition)- Make sure required measurements are consistent with end goals- Analyze needs and decide on appropriate methods and means- Participate in creating specifications and/or internal validation of specific inspection means- Help create workload schedule for Measurement Laboratory- Respect pre-established measuring methodologies, or define them if not yet created- Employ statistical calculation tools in order to decide on product/process capabilities- Respect forecast budgets and lead times for measurement requests- Propose technical-economic improvements for measuring work- Propose possible investments to better meet product needs3 - Produce clear and useful reports concerning the obtained results- Decide on conformity of measured dimensions and provide summaries of the results- Provide dimensional inspection reports- Participate in analyzing measurement results- Participate in defining finalizations (rework optimization and simulation tool) Specific missionsParticipate in defining functional dimensions for products, in cooperation with the design officeMonitor the calibration work:- Maintain measurement equipment and ensure it is capable of meeting needs- Perform functional tests on measurement equipment- Schedule periodic inspections of measurement equipment- Analyze inspection and calibration certificates and decide on conformity of measurement equipment- Check conformity of environmental conditions in laboratory Use and follow processes, instruction sheets and appendices and propose improvementsEnsure that his/her work is carried out in compliance with safety and environmental protection rules.
