Kennedy Jenks has an immediate opening for a Lead Commissioning Specialist for marine port and dry dock ancillary facilities in Pearl Harbor Hawaii.The Lead Commissioning Specialist coordinates all aspects of the commissioning process and acceptance testing as part of a dynamic design, construction, startup and commissioning team contracted with the Federal Government. This position is located in Pearl Harbor Hawaii. The project is estimated to last 4 years. The first 2 years can be travel to and from Hawaii with relocation for the last 2 years of the project. Professional Engineer (PE) license is required for this position. Key Responsibilities: Leading and overseeing the commissioning work Acting as the primary point of contact for the commissioning work, which include mechanical and electrical equipment systems. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. Licensed Professional Engineer in Mechanical Engineering 10+ years of related experience and a minimum of five (5) years of commissioning experience, specifically HVAC and pump stations, with projects of similar size and complexity. At least 5 years of Project Management experience Certification required or the ability to obtain certification in one of the following: NEBB qualified Systems Commissioning Administrator (SCA) ACG Certified Commissioning Authority (CxA) ICB/TABB Certified Commissioning Supervisor BCA Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP) AEE Certified Building Commissioning Professional (CBCP) University of Wisconsin-Madison Qualified Commissioning Process Provider (QCxP) ASHRAE Building Commissioning Professional (BCxP) Working knowledge of construction project requirements, activities and details, progression of work, and quality control. Strong facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills. Highly effective communicator with clear and concise writing and presentation skills High level of attention to detail with ability to quality-review work. Salary range for this position is anticipated to be $150,000 to $215,000, and may vary based upon education, experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications and geographic location.
