EDSI Solutions Community Outreach Driver in Feasterville Trevose, Pennsylvania

Scope of Position

  • Build relationships with community-based organizations and stakeholders to develop appropriate strategies that connect jobseekers to available opportunities, and to further develop partnerships with the organizations to collaborate on additional workforce development initiatives
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all programmatic processes, staff roles, and funding sources to best guide customers
  • Be responsible for driving the Workforce on Wheels (WOW) to community events/outreach events

Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

  • Conduct face-to-face, or virtual, meetings with organizations' representatives to discuss collaboration between their entity and the One-Stop.
  • Attend functions such as job/resource fairs and chamber events to distribute/discuss information pertaining to One-Stop services.
  • Participate as a primary team member in CareerLink's community outreach initiative utilizing the Workforce on Wheels (WOW) which provides on-site accessibility to community organizations and constituents in various locations throughout Bucks County.
  • Inform PA CareerLink® staff of supportive services available through community organizations in order to assist customers needing to overcome barriers to reach their educational and employment goals.
  • Schedule and conduct onsite/offsite presentations with organizations to promote CareerLink® services including training funds (OJTs and ITAs).
  • Connect with departments to promote Rapid Response services, business services, and training services.
  • Conduct community-based or in-house workshops for customers related to training and/or reemployment.
  • Connect community-based organizations with the PA CareerLink® website in order to streamline the online referral process.
  • Connect and outreach to jobseekers to offer assistance with job matching, resume development, resources.
  • Develop a database of organizations' representatives and their contact information.
  • Ensure that materials organizations' services are available to PA CareerLink® customers.
  • Identify opportunities for additional partnerships between the One-Stop and community-based organizations.
  • Serve as liaison between PA CareerLink® and stakeholders.
  • Assist in the One-Stop's resource area and assist with orientation.
  • Submit reports that track outreach and outcomes to Program Manager.
  • Create and distribute outreach materials.
  • Monitor the cleaning, supplies, and maintenance of the WOW.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Must have 1-3 years of business, training, teaching or sales experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Must have notable experience in team-oriented environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, education, human services or related area is preferred.
  • Must be comfortable with presenting information to large audiences in professional/clear manner.
  • Must be available to travel to community-based events and provide outreach to jobseekers.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, CDL A or CDL B with 2 years driving experience required.
