Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift

HIROTEC Manufacturing America, located in Fayetteville, Tennessee, is part of the HIROTEC Group, headquartered in Hiroshima, Japan. HIROTEC Group delivers body-in-white closures, exhaust systems, flexible closure tooling, and stamping dies to automotive customers around the world. With a US headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI, HIROTEC Group operates 33 facilities in eight countries.

Currently, we are seeking a Maintenance Technician to become a part of the HIROTEC team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair faulty machinery.

  • Installing new production equipment.

  • Create and implement maintenance standard operating procedures based on specific machine knowledge.

  • Performs mechanical repairs and removes defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, cranes, and hand/power tools.

  • Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts, using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools.

  • Work with 2D and 3D computer-aided design and manufacturing software such as CAD or CAM.

  • Repair methods, including welding, inserting, or replacing items, will need to be made with consideration to quality, cost, and delivery.

  • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories.

  • Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

  • Complete required documentation, manually or by data entry

  • Organize safe maintenance principles for regulating and scheduling breakdowns.

  • Equipment/asset care and Planned Preventive Maintenance processes and procedures.

  • Prioritize and complete daily work orders.

  • Overall plant maintenance and other directives as requested by management.

  • Participate in 5S, Quality, Safety, Kaizen, and lean manufacturing activities.

  • Comply with Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards, procedures, and instructions.

  • Maintain and improve high product quality by setting/managing proper welding conditions.

  • Other duties and projects may be assigned based on the operational objectives of the company.

Ideal candidate should have a High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three years of maintenance experience in automotive manufacturing/production environment; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
