Mid Michigan Community Action Agency, Inc Customer Education Specialist in Farwell, Michigan
General Responsibilities:
- Day to day operation of Weatherization Education Trailer.
- Performing Customer Education events using the Education Trailer.
Protect the privacy of customers/families and hold in confidence all information obtained in the course of service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Travel with education trailer throughout the state to educate community members about Weatherization programs and energy efficiency.
- Attend relevant community events and meetings to support the Weatherization program; including evening and weekend events or meetings as needed.
- Educate customers in purpose and procedures of programs and in energy conservation techniques.
- Prepare reports on progress and records as required by the program.
Participate in personal and professional development activities.
Education and Experience Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Must possess a Commercial Drivers License (CDL)
Demonstrated ability to present materials to community groups.
Additional Requirements:
- Travel may require overnight stay.
- Understand the importance of daily work attendance, and its impact on coworkers, Customers, and the agency.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work independently and keep accurate records.
- Good customer relation skills.
- Must have Proficient Computer Skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet).
- Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, provide proof of insurance, and pass State Police criminal clearance check and MMCAA's "Insurance Carriers" driving record review.
- Successfully complete Criminal History and MDHHS clearance procedures at time of hire and when requested at any time during employment.
- Must comply with Agency smoke free and drug free policies.
