Role Description

Soundcrash Summer Series – Operations and Production Manager

Soundcrash is looking for a new senior member of staff with strong production, music promotion, budgetary and organisational skills. They will look after multiple areas within our outdoor Soundcrash Summer Series business which has seen huge growth in the last four years. This is a hard working and accomplished small team (fully within the Live Nation Entertainment family).

Soundcrash is a small, fast growing and cutting edge promotions company that organises tours, boutique festivals and special events across the country. We have a unique and enviable position being sat within the Live Nation Entertainment family, contributing to and benefitting from their vast network.

Soundcrash currently organises and promotes 50 outdoor arena sized shows within a three month period in the summer, comprising of: 25 shows in Margate, 12 shows in South London, 4 shows in Hertfordshire and 9 shows in Essex. We do shows with artist of all genres, from The Chemical Brothers to Nile Rogers to Maribou State to Noel Gallagher.

Who you are

Competencies / Skills / Knowledge / Experience

  • Exceptional organisational, communication and leadership skills

  • Strong reporting skills

  • Expertise and previous experience in a role such as: event management, project management, event co-ordination, production co-ordination

  • Experience in the live entertainment industry – this may be from promoting, ticketing, production, operations

  • Strong excel skills, and experience with production budgets and procurement as well as working with finance on budgeting and accounts

  • People management skills

Desirable:

  • Event management training / SIA and Crowd Management training

  • Some knowledge of how shows are marketed

  • Some knowledge of how shows are booked

What the role includes

  • Regular liason with and progress reporting with the external production teams at our events, via weekly meetings or other means as appropriate

  • Checking shows are running at safe level

  • Ensuring good customer experience

  • Managing and maintaining adherence to budgets alongside the Promoter and the Tour Accountants

  • Liaising with and some selecting of show reps

  • Liaising with Live Nation finance and accounts to do best to meet our targets

  • Attending some SAGs with Promoter

  • Advancing

  • Deputising for Promoter in occasional situations / meetings

  • Ownership of the relationship with Live Nation marketing partnerships to ensure good communication and delivery on sponsorship targets at events

  • Delegating tasks to Ops Assistant within the Soundcrash team

  • Some Soundcrash team leadership e.g. take team meetings in promoters absence

  • Some liaison with Live Nation ticketing and ticket agencies.

  • Some liaison with booking agents

  • Gerenal problem solving within the live music business

  • Dealing with some matters with F&B companies and merch companies.

  • Some HR liaison
