Davis County Health Department, Senior Services Division is currently hiring for a part-time, merit Food Service Worker in Davis County, Utah This position performs routine tasks in meal pickup, delivery, set-up and clean-up for meal services at senior activity centers and meals on wheels routes. Applications will be accepted through October 13, 2024.

Work schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM, weekends & holidays off

Pay Range and Benefits:

$15.61 - $19.87/hr

Salary based on qualifications and experience.

Requirements

No minimum education or experience required.

Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have a food handler's permit upon hiring. Must pass a criminal history background investigation.

Preference for work experience providing direct services to older adults.

Preference for work experience working in a kitchen or lunch room servicing meals.

Day to Day Duties

  • Travels to designated locations to pick-up meals.
  • Monitors food temperature to ensure meals are maintained at required temperature levels.
  • Complies with food health and safety codes, rules, and regulations.
  • Delivers meals to senior activity centers.
  • Assists with meal set-up; serves meals to clients in a friendly, professional and efficient manner, and assists with clean-up.
  • Assists with meals delivery.
  • Cleans and fuels vehicles, maintains cleanliness within the vehicle and keeps records of vehicle mileage.
