Job Description

Job Summary:

Raymarine UK Ltd are looking for an experienced Principle Embedded Software Development Engineer to work in our Fareham office, working on a variety of products, both for our new products and maintenance of our current line.

This role requires the candidate to have a proven, strong track record of delivering software to meet the needs of customers and working together within a team to guide the engineering contributors.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Be a point of contact within a team of engineers for technical guidance.

  • Developing embedded Software as part of a multi-discipline engineering team

  • Disseminating the direction of project architecture, upholding coding standards and implementing quality improvements.

  • Distilling project deliverables into work packages

  • Working in an Agile team structure

To be ready to take on this role we would love if you have:

  • Ideally degree level engineering qualification alongside significant technical experience

  • Experience with C/C++ for embedded real-time systems.

  • Worked in Agile teams

  • Designed for Real Time Operating Systems

  • Driver configuration and creation.

  • Used a variety of embedded platforms such as; bare metal, STM32, NVIDIA etc…

  • Linux Kernel building/modifying

  • Prototyping - Logic probe analysis and Board Bringup

  • Debugging skills with knowledge of GDB/LLDB, JTAG and ICE

  • Experience with OpenGL and GLSL/Vulcan

It would be advantageous if you have experience with any of the following:

  • Maritime industry

  • Docker configuration

  • RADAR

  • DSP Algorithm knowledge

  • SONAR

  • Camera/Video streaming

  • BASH

  • Experience in other languages such as Rust/Python
