Job Description

LRS Consulting Services is seeking an experienced IT Business Project Manager to lead multiple IT-related projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in IT project management, experience with employee benefits and retirement systems, and the ability to mentor junior staff. This role is critical for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and according to budget. This is a contract position with the potential for full-time employment. Candidate will be working 3 days onsite per week, with the potential for remote work on remaining days.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full life cycle of IT projects, particularly related to employee benefits, retirement systems, and other IT initiatives. Lead and execute project management processes, including planning, organizing, and overseeing project implementation and completion.

  • Collaborate closely with key stakeholders to understand project objectives and ensure alignment with business needs.

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to internal staff, particularly to our junior IT Project Manager, to develop their project management capabilities.

  • Act as the primary liaison between internal teams and external vendors, ensuring smooth communication and resolution of issues.

  • Implement project management methodologies and processes, driving standardization and best practices across the team.

  • Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and communication for all assigned projects.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, with a focus on business systems and applications.

  • PMP certification or extensive experience with project management methodologies.

  • Experience working on employee benefits or retirement systems is highly desirable.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to mentor and coach junior project managers, providing guidance and structure.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder expectations.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in IT consulting or similar industries. Knowledge of LRS systems and processes.

  • Experience with implementing project management tools and systems within an organization.
