Chautauqua County, NY (Jamestown/Falconer Area)Full Time/Office Position (40 hours/week)Purchasing ManagerLongtime Chautauqua County manufacturer seeking self-motivated candidate who is organized, has good communication skills (both verbal and written), has the ability to work independently as well as a contributing team member.Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate & collaborate with suppliers, as well as with in-house departments in order to meet production demands. An understanding of supply chain is required.Requirements:•Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.•Purchasing experience preferred.•Inventory coordinating/management experience preferred.•Associates degree preferred.•Proficient in MS Office including word, excel, outlook.•Experience with ERP software preferred.Responsibilities:•Purchasing of all raw materials, goods, & services according to production & business needs.•Regular tracking of open orders and continual follow-up with suppliers/vendors for ETA's of material and/or services. The same will apply to any non-conformance items.•Maintain and nurture relationships with suppliers and vendors.•Manage purchasing strategy to optimize procurement process.•Oversee physical inventory and the standard analysis of, along with cycle counts throughout the year.•Perform supplier evaluations along with the review of ongoing agreements & contracts.•Review ECN's and Invoices.•Attend weekly production meetings and report on open items and ETA's.•Maintain inventory bill of materials.•Regular use of ERP software/ Data-entry and tracking of various items.•Work closely with stockroom personnel to monitor stock and ensure adequate availability.Minimum Starting Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000Starting salary will be commensurate with factors including but not limited to experience, education, and performance.Generous benefit package includes; medical/dental, life, 401k, paid time off, profit sharing, & more.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer/Affirmative Action.Qualified Women/Minorities/Vets/Disabled Persons are encouraged to apply.If you need a reasonable accommodation, please contact us.Qualified applicants - Please send your resume and/or cover letter to:rpaxton@ellisonbronze.com
