National Dentex Dental Lab Technician Trainee in Falcon Heights, Minnesota

Description

Our team is growing, and we are hiring at NDX Twin Cities Dental Lab in Falcon Heights, MN for a Dental Laboratory Technician Trainee (Removables).

The regular hours for this position are from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:

  • Read prescriptions and specifications received from dentist

  • Bead and pour impressions

  • Base models

  • Trim models

  • Set bites

  • Articulate models

  • Pour and jig cases to be relined

  • Make duplicate models

  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English

  • Excellent eye-hand coordination

  • Detail oriented

  • Patience for repetitive tasks

  • Ability to work closely with others and share equally in the workload

  • Flexibility in dealing with varied work hours due to fluctuating workloads

  • Read and interpret prescriptions and other required documentation.

  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information.

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

Hazardous Materials or Equipment Used:

  • Wet Grinder

  • Sharp Tools/Instruments

  • Investment material

  • Lathe

  • Hand piece

  • Boil Out

  • Acrylic

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and/or reach.

  • Exhibit fine motor skills and/or perform repetitive motions.
