POSITION SUMMARY:
Under general direction of Finance leadership, the Sr. Financial Analyst (Schedule A) is responsible for the billing, maintenance and analysis for a significant group of customers representing a high dollar value to the company. Additionally support cost accounting activities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for Schedule A calculations and billings
Provide analysis and recommendation for annual invoice setting
Responsible for purchase price variance (PPV) variance analysis and annual standard setting
Consolidates and reviews specific product, customer, and plant margins and performance
Identify continuous improvement opportunities
Work across organizational boundaries and all levels of the company to achieve corporate objectives
Responsible for production standard setting and analysis (including routings and recipe variance), month end accruals and analysis and balance sheet Rec’s
Assist with standard cost and cost estimates for new business opportunities
Estimate annual impact of manufacturing changes, (PPV, expenses, etc.) and impact to business
Inventory Analysis and Reporting; analyzing inventory and drawing conclusions on data
Liaison between co-pack sales, accounting, and finance; resource for questions and problem-solving
Provides assistance in determining conversion cost and associated fees
Complete ADHOC analysis
Report food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action
REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance and 3-5 years of accounting/financial planning and analysis work experience within manufacturing environment (CPA/CMA and/or MBA preferred)
Previous experience in cost accounting (labor and fixed/variable overhead, reporting and analysis, process driven cost systems, inventory costs, financial modeling, new product development, costing and profitability analysis)
Process driven with experience in root cause analysis (utilize lean tools to identify and drive corrective actions that are scalable throughout production plan)
Ability to drive collaboration across company departments
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and highly advanced Excel skills
Experience with relational databases (Hyperion Planning, Essbase)
Experience with Oracle or similar accounting program (PeopleSoft, SAP)
Proven experience in driving process improvement
Ability to lead teams and communicate effectively across the organization
Ability to apply advanced math functions and reasoning (i.e., business modeling)
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Regularly required to sit, use hands
Occasionally need to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, with a potential of up to 25 pounds
Sedentary office environment
Occasional exposure to manufacturing plant floor requiring the use of personal protective equipment (ear plugs, safety glasses, bump cap, skid-resistant leather shoes, etc.)
Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices (hair net, no jewelry, no fake nails or eyelashes, no food/drink, gum, etc. in manufacturing Plant
