LOCATION OF POSITION: Monroe One BOCES - 41 O'Connor Road, Fairport NY 14450;Business Office
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 12-Month Position, Full-Time
STARTING DATE: As Soon As Possible
SALARY RANGE: $18.50 - $25.00 per hour
*Actual Salary Is Dependent Upon Education, Experience and Contract.
DUTIES:
Work with a team of Accounts Payable Clerks who perform the following duties:
Review invoices for accurate prices and verify receipt of correct merchandise and services to corresponding purchase orders and input vendors’ invoices into computer system (WinCap) for payment.
Process all reimbursement documents required for conferences and training.
Address questions and problems for vendors, departments, and employees regarding their payments.
Balance input totals to payment schedule, list, prepare, and enter paperwork for weekly check audits.
File numerically all check copies with paperwork after audit.
Process invoices, teacher stipends, tuition reimbursements, and district expense reimbursements.
Process mileage reimbursement.
Assist with credit card process, distribution and payments
Assist with weekly check processing and printing.
Assist with bi-monthly direct deposit employee reimbursement processing and printing.
Willingness to train in other Accounts Payable functions in the Business Office.
Cross-train with co-workers on various duties.
Assist with other duties when necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Civil Service eligibility as aSenior Office Account Clerk: Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma, plus EITHER:
(A) Two (2) years of paid full-time or its part-time equivalent work experience in account keeping, bookkeeping, or financial record keeping; OR
(B) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or closely related field, plus one (1) year of work experience as described in (A); OR
(C) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or closely related field; OR
(D) Any equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A), (B), and (C).
School district accounting or accounts payable experience, preferred.
Computer experience necessary, Windows and Excel experience, required.
WinCap and Microsoft Teams and Outlook knowledge preferred.
Strong interpersonal communication skills with both peers and administrators.
Evident teamwork experiences through past positions, preferred.
Accuracy and attention to detail required.
Ability to work independently; be proactive, meet deadlines, make appropriate decisions. Be versatile; adapt to a variety of circumstances and exhibit effective problem-solving skills.
Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation).
