The Clinic Manager is responsible for the urgent care centers' operations including management of clinical staff, financial performance, workflow development, patient experience, and billing compliance. Develops operations plans and implements performance    improvement. Manager will oversee 4-6 clinics with support from onsite Clinic Supervisors.

                                                                                                           

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for the daily management of urgent care centers. Motivates staff and organizes day-to-day activities. Develops and refines processes to continually improve center operations and staff workflows

  • Monitors key performance indicators (quality, financial, throughout, etc.) daily, weekly, and monthly.Identifies opportunities for improvement and develops plans to implement changes to meet budget

  • Conducts daily huddles and monthly staff meetings. Provides guidance and training to center staff. Responsible for ensuring optimal staff and patient satisfaction

  • Responsible for scheduling of all center staff shifts. Ensures accuracy of payroll and ensures overtime and/or temporary personnel hours are within budget

  • Manages all aspects of the electronic medical record including coordination of staff and provider training. Monitors the appropriate use of the EMR (Electronic Medical Record).

  • Oversees the supply chain process to ensure value for funds expended. Evaluates and properly codes invoices for payment.

  • Ensures appropriate network integration by monitoring patient referrals and intervening when necessary to address service issues. 

  • Recruits, interviews, and hires personnel as necessary and according to budget and Human Resources guidelines

  • Counsel employees in disciplinary matters and obtains assistance from Human Resources appropriately for disciplinary actions and/or terminations

  • Other duties include but not limited to serving on committees or work groups, lab, and diagnostic tests, disposing of contaminated supplies, patient registration, scheduling, phone triage, cash handling, check-in/check-out and performing scribing duties as needed basis.

Employment Qualifications

Education Qualifications

Required Minimum Education:2-year Degree

Specialty/Major: Healthcare Management, Nursing, Business Administration, or another related field

Minimum Qualifications

At least two years of management or supervisory experience.

Medical Terminology and the ability to use standard office equipment

Strong oral and written communication skills, and an ability to collaboratively work with providers, staff, and patients

Strong attention to details and an ability to multitask without prior instruction or direction.

Healthcare management experience preferred.

Combination of post-secondary education and experience in lieu of a degree.
